i guess deep down inside, there is still a part of me who wants to talk to you again.
anyways i am back from my oh sooooooo "long" learning trip in china, a 22 days trip actually. it actually didnt feels that long at all. and i would say that i like this trip and my team alot. ♥ Mosaic. i guess throughout this trip, i learnt alot. and experienced alot. well, i am going to learn from someone and be more productive in a way? well, he may not be the best person who could handle like thousand commitments together, cause i have seen more impressive people before, but he sure showed me how it can be done. so yuppp!!!! :) tatas! and i still dont have the will to note down every single minute detail to my trip to learning. but the learning and experience is not compromised right? since, it can never be gone or replaced. :)

anyways just some movies i watched recently that i thought i should really share! ^^

1. inception.
okays. i know this is like highly recommended by like EVERYONE. so if you still didnt watched it, WATCHED IT! its interesting and get you thinking about reality and dreams and what you really only keep to yourself in your dreams.

2. Breakfast at Tiffany's.
It is a CLASSIC! the ending is lovely and CAT! okays, i think Audrey Hepburn is dammmmmnn CHIO ♥ preettyyyyyy girl! ^^ and i think holly has a certain sweet/mysterious/interesting/innocent/scheming and totaly i have no idea how to describe her. anyways i like the book maybe a little more then the movie. but the ending of the movie is awesome. and i kinda have the same belief that you dont belong to me and i don't belong to you. like how she doesn't even have the right to name her cat, cause technically the cat dont "belong" to her.

3. Notebook.
Another awesome movie. i like the start, where noah is sooooooo cute and sweet :) someday, i would like to lie on the streets and watch the traffic lights change. someday, i would want someone to dance with me on the streets. and someday, i would want someone to read stories to me. and the ending of how they ended is kinda sweet and saddening. :/

4. Going the Distance.
Its sooooooo funny!!!! hahahahah! :) watch it. its a nice movie in the sense that i could relate to the pain of not seeing the person you like/love. but its funny and light at the same time. so its kinda awesome. i enjoyed watching it ^^

5. Stranger than Fiction
funny, strange, interesting. awwwwwwww... sweet. positive.

yesterday, i went sentosa with a bunch of friends. (YOG mates) awesome fun. but damn tiring as well since i went after school YES! SCHOOL. on a saturday! :/ and i kinda regretted going as well as happy that i went. does that even make sense? but lets put it this way, there were two different clique of people: the MJC side, and the CJC side, and me, the only NYJC girl there. since Jingen had a fractured leg, yanlin has band and other appointments and weiting kinda just asked me not to go. hahaha!! :) but i just wanted to go. atleast now i feel happier. and i brought gong cha home. its awesome! ♥ it. teehee.

OBS - CUTTER
okays, so after vivant...I WENT OBS!!!

obs camp site at pulau ubin is the best lurh! :):)

i mean people always says obs is like the torture and tiring kind of camp? but OBS cutter turns out to be another fun and enjoyable camp :D

BORN AS INDIVUALS

on the first day, we did simplier games such as ice breaker (which is similar to other icebreakers... or maybe not that similar :/), trust fall (which i dislike the feeling of falling backward) and rock-climbing. climbing the jaggered rock wall wasnt as simple as i thought it would be :(. and that was the first lesson on balancing the 3Ps (people, product and process) or the 3Hs (head, hand and heart) as delin shared. frstly, individual goals and group goals were set, but we were only give that limited amount of time and all...so... some people achived their goal (especially teck chuan who reach the top of the jaggered wall which is O MY TIAN cause i cannot even climb past the line :( ) and some people dont. which means, we did not reach our group goal. for the secnd rock climb, i was blind folded. :/ (i never liked to be blindfolded. :( ) well, atleast it is the straight wall? and i reached the top! thanks to people who guided me up :D i guess that pretty much sums up the day activity as the rest were theory and briefing for sailing the next day. ( which is pretty much.. boring? even shilun fell asleep, which is funny. :P ) oh and not forgetting, WE HAD BEDS, BLANKETS and PILLOWS!! :) and the meals provided at camp site is good! good welfare! :D

day 2

before eating breakfast, we played some games like evolution and did some "warm-up" (exercise like cruches/push-ups/half squat is commonly used during my time in Peirce as a form of punishment :/). after breakfast, we had to start loading onto the cutter! our cutter is called Semangat, which is malay for spirit (if i didnt remember wrongly...) setting up the sails is the time were the breifing the day before comes to use. @@ which apparently, i didnt quite get it. :X oh and rowing of the baby airborne too... which i learnt somethings too. the thing about this obs is that it is more of a reflection camp where almost half the time is placed aside for you to reflect on things that you learnt from the various activity. there will be sharing sessions which is for us to all voice out of learnings for all to hear. which sometimes im lost for words as i dont really enjoy sharing my reflections for all to hear :/ so i just crap :x

stayed over at OBS camp site 2 and it is horrible. :X for dinner that night, we had outdoor cooking. it is not the usual outdoor cooking of instant noodles okay. they cooked rice and curry and some other dishes for us :) (they refers to those who stayed and cooked while some others and i included went to shower. feel so bad :/) and that night, everyone got bitten by insects like CRAZY. :( and it rained at night so i was practically freezing, and so i woke up like everyone now and then.) my sentry duty is the last shift :) many people wanted this shift actually, but the guys being gentlemen gave it to us :D 4am-6am and i didnt catch the sunrise!!!!!!!!!! argh!

(anyways, surprise surprise! i wasn't sea sick? i mean i have motion sickness and all.. i can even get sick travelling on the bus. :/)

day3

had a disgusting shock in the morning. my life vest was infested with a colony of ants! :( eww and then i became ant attractive (more explained later). and for the first time in my life i tried to un-anchor a boat with zisong :) and erms... i admit i was damn noisy. =.= and the anchor was like super duper uber heavy, covered with soil and mud... at night we anchored near the water venture at sembawang for shower without soap! and dinner :/ which is instant noodles. oyahs... that was the day when i lost my spectacles and watch :( my watch mysteriously dissapeared and well... my spects just drifted away in the current. :/) that night, we slept on the cutter itself. although it was cramp and FREEZING COLD at night, i think it was okays. i mean atleast i had my jacket and im forced to curl into a ball... and i have no watch to check the time, nor spects to view the stars... so i slept. =.=

day4

sailed in the storm, or rowed alot actually. had lots of jokes even though it was so tiring i totally can just fall asleep on the oar as we rest from rowing. :/ and we were in self denial of having wind as some, including me, didnt want to row :( arrived back at camp site 1.

after some packing and washing up, we did a video to help whish PA happy 50th birthday. :) was really funny. especially when delin made a mistake and innocently ask who went wrong. :P

we had sharing at night where everyone had to pass down a paper writing plus-es and deltas, in other words, positive and negative comments about that person. and well... my comments mostly had to do with me being the loud and noisy crazy woman. though the Johari window, (not johar!) we did some reflections :) and ofcourse, wanteng realise that she did not change. even though she knew what are her cons, she lived in self-denial that she is not like that.

at night was a gossip session :D

okays, being the ant attractive me, i realised at night that my jacket was covered with another colony of giantic red ants. :( ewwww. anyways thankful to shilun who help me wash my jacket and get rid of the ants. :D

day5

the last day.

did a mess art thingy i think. it sort of look like this:

used legos or plasticine to make a model to represent how you are going to go about being a leader or a team leader.

and after that we did some OBS shopping and head back to main land SINGAPORE! :D

my packed schedule came to an end. sianzzz. and its not really packed to start with. its just two consecutive camps with a weekend in between for break. :/ but atleast i had something to occupy myself with. :(
anyway i feel bad about not recording down the details of the camps down after doing a little blog surfing among campers. :/
so here goes as i still remember it to be:

VIVANT! 09

well, i entered the camp knowing only some people and left the camp knowing almost everyone. i must say that is one of the pros being in a small batch of people. :) so happy~! and since im in group one, our group is named: ONE-der girls!!!! ( the irony is that there is more guys that girls in our group. :/ only ingrid,bert and me?! moreover bert is our facil...) group 2 - BOOMZ!! (hahaha... its like a ris low fan club. :x) group 3 - Shiny Tornado (shinee?) and group 4- Coffee Monkeys! (apparently everyone in that group enjoys drinking coffee...)

our group is the group with the smallest population. but as deRlin puts it"its the quality that counts". well i must say, our group is really just a whole bunch of crazy people put together, even mayshuan agrees:) we have super lame people like shi lun, super happy people like ingrid, super high and enthu people like gavin and wei guang. Oswald who is funny plus huixiong who is slightly more normal and... me :X

its so fun being in the group for we bond at a AMAZING RATE. but i must say, it really is a shame that the turnover rate is high too... like estee didnt come cause she was sick, gavin came at the last day, oswald left before break camp and huixiong came on the 2nd day i think. ANYWAYS ITS SUPER DUPER WHOPER FUN TOGETHER!!! moreover, as i said, i left the camp knowing almost everyone. this is because, we bond, we bond as a whole batch!!! :):):) it ends up like everyone being in the same group all together. lovely. no groupist :)

vivant! camp, i must say, is not your typical camp. its objectives are simple: to bond and...???
and how exactly do we campers bond? PLAY CARDS. :) lol... it is like since day one night that everyone that wants to play will gather together at the guys dorm and play. (although i just came to know that we were not suppose to... :X) and the last night we gathering at the training room prepared to stay up all night playing but i must admit im the first to sleep. :/ and before that, i didnt even play cards much. mostly camp games and writing letters. which since im on the topic, im sorry for not writing to everyone/ replying all letters. :(

angel and mortal or penpals is another interesting activity that we played. :) my penpal is marietta~ (pretty girl!!) my dear MINNIE!!! :D

some of the memorable games:

merlion @@ (i had to spit towards delin... which is like soso... =.=) hahaha... and ingrid's comment on"our group guys can aim." is so hilarious. :X

HOT CREAM! we had to pass shaving cream down a line using our face. =.= like totally speechless. its just that you have to get past the personal barrier to having someone's face brushing against yours. piffles.

quest of the titans (sounds like our orientation 09 game? and immediately our run-in song came to mind, together with us dancing. lol. T-E-E-N T-I-T-A-N-S teen titans! lets go!) i was mute. :( it was okay actually except when people who are able to talk keep making you feel like whacking them or make you bend over laughing. hahahahaha!!!

count me in. piffles. but we managed to complete it. :) so stressful and irritating but at the end of it, i just came to know that i was the one that didnt know wat was going on yet find people who knew exactly irritating. ironic and depressing.

water bomb in dairy farm. we had to sit at specific spots and pass water bombs. its so funny lah. wanjing and i was sitting in the same circle and when we both reach up to grab the water bomb, it usually bust above us and making us wet together. =.= its like "enermies" who ended playing and having fun splashing each other.:/

water bomb-battleship in sentosa. yes SENTOSA they brought us to sentosa can you believe it? @@ anyways there i was so water bombs attractive. even after i was "bombed" out of the game, the spot which i sat had collected like 4-5 bombs. tsktsk.

the game where we had to roll down each others back and then run down into the sea to tag jeremy cheok. hahahaha!! :D its super funny. i still remember what he screamed when i splashed him while trying to run though the water "WOAH! I'M WET!"

haixzzzz... haixzzz... i wonder how will my art fare. hopefully it's an A1... or atleast an A2. :( i don't want my 9 months efforts to go down the drain!!! 9 months of drawing, thinking, taking pictures, drawing, drawing drawing... staying in school till 6 everyday to draw. but now, i guess i'll miss that feeling. anyways, side-tracking. i shampooed my hair twice today due to the astonishing amount of spray mount it is exposed to today. to qoute what my teacher said "you'all drink the spray mount? this is the last bottle already!" and on the counter there is like say 6 bottles? whahahaha. but that cause the surface of my pieces to be sticky too... =.=

horriblehorrible. i seriously don't think that well of my work. oh em gee

finally. 30 days delicated to other subs which i sort of did study enough.

such as geography and history and social studies =.= gotta start memorising. especially geog... quite unhappy/angry/dissapointed with my results. so unhappy that this is the first time i have to argue so hard with a teacher for 1 pathetic mark. but whatever the case, i shall mug till i know my physical geog at the back of my hand.

and i must say im quite surprised for english. i mean i expect myself to flunk it. my friends probably even got sick of my lamenting on how badly i would fare for english. im so convinced that i would not do well even to the extent that i cried after the paper itself. (this is so embarassing =.=) but allswell :D still very happy. given that i left the whole section of vocabularies out, which costed me 5 marks! no more of such muddle-headed-ness during o's.

and getting back maths today was rather calm surprisingly. i guess my mind was too obessed with art submission that other things just doesn't matter. oh... and i almost lost my cool many time then due to something else, but it okays now. anyways, it was till the end of the lesson that it finally hit me that i am quite dissapointed with the result.=.= retarded?

lol... i spent most of my energy of the day during chinese intensive. first time im so hyped up because of chinese kay! i got addicted to SPOP. hahaha... and i felt uberly sleepy after that. well... 4hours of intensive. i need to make the best out of it right? better then stoning/rotting the whole time. yeah, cannot sleep either :( nearly got caught for resting my head on the table. haizxz.
anyways buffet was okay lah... :D but i didn't get to go drama today :( cause lessons ends at 240 and remedial starts at 2 all the way to 5+? (i went at 310, after buffet :X)

MELBOURNE (AFP) — Tall people earn higher wages than their vertically-challenged counterparts while being obese does not mean a slimmed-down pay packet, according to a new study in Australia.

The researchers found a strong link between wages and height, particularly for men, with each additional 10 centimetres (four inches) of height adding three percent to hourly wages.

The "height premium" was two percent per 10 centimetres for women, researchers from the University of Sydney and Canberra's Australian National University (ANU) found.

They calculated that every five centimetres (two inches) above the average height of 178 centimentres (5 feet 10 inches) boosted a male's wages by the equivalent of an extra year's experience in the labour force.

"This result holds constant across a number of other factors that also affect wages, such as age, race, family background, experience and education," said ANU professor Andrew Leigh.

The researchers, who examined health and income data from almost 20,000 Australians, also found that being overweight did not mean a lighter pay packet -- in contrast to previous studies.

"We were surprised to find that there seemed to be no wage penalty to being overweight or obese in the Australian labour market," Leigh said.

"This is in contrast with previous studies that used older data from the United States and Germany and found that people with higher (body mass index) earned lower wages."

maths and ss today. i think ss paper stunned everyone. so i guess history will have to buck up ehs? maths was surprising relatively fine for me, but some others said that it was difficult. so...idk? anyways during maths mr siva really freaked us out. when he announced that " all candidates, you have 10mins left" i was nonplus. flipped through the paper and counted the number of questions not completed--approx.7? then he announce again"sorry. you have 1h10mins left" i was like...?! =.= and i felt so weak for maths paper, probably due to me being drenched in the morning?

just read through some seriously AWESOME and INTRIGUING essays which are beautifully peppered with vocabularies that makes me totally lost. blank. and ignorant me actually thought some were typo errors. =.= but then again, it seriously sets me thinking on how limited my range of vocabulary actually is. :(
english prelim one is TOMORROW. i just hope that i can remember all these words. my languages have to improve. I DON'T CARE! (now i sound like a spoit brat =.=)
got to start using better vocabularies that intices and engage readers more frequently.

anyways got to doddle though i doubt it will actually win...since i didn't really focus on doing it and was in an rush and all... =.=
and we(fiona,kelly,cassandra,me) played truth and dare. or should i say true and truth. no one did dare. at all. got to know some secrets*smirking at kelly and cassandra* :D peace. but to say the truth, it was really no kick (not that it will be as crazy as those i played in taiwan or those christopher/nicole had mentioned)>< i mean... there was limits like no names will be memtioned, even things that gives clues that led to him/her, and for dare you can't do things that are dangerous (eg. climb over to the other side and come back, which i considered safe cause there is ground say...1meter away?) but whatever it is... it definitely made time pass faster. lol. and thanks to joelle's new x5 game which also helped time pass. :D

uglies, pretties, specials, extras. people with a average look is pretty. atleast that is what maths says. but apparently gorgeous is different from pretty. there is no excellent beauty that does not have some strangeness in the proportion. whatever it is... going under the knife? i don't think i would do it. imagine the doctors trying to grind your bones till they are of correct proportions? ewww. and don't let fame get into your head. popularity? is it of THAT importance?
